Kermit says “It’s not easy being green”.

Amy Mackay challenges you (and you too Kermit! ) to Live Green this week, as part of the Living Your Moksha: 7 week Challenge.

Here’s Amy’s guidance this week:

For those that have been following the Living Your Moksha challenge, the theme for this week is Live Green. If you’re just joining the conversation, welcome! This 7 week challenge is for everyone, no matter what your yoga experience.

Week 3, May 22nd – 28th, is all about reducing your footprint on the earth. Living Your Moksha invites you to “green your plate” by going vegetarian or vegan this week. Click here to learn more about how much energy you can save by choosing veggies more often.

To upgrade your challenge try using zero disposable containers for 7 days, or reduce your waste to zero. The Living Your Moksha newsletter has a really cool link with suggestions of simple things you can do to accomplish this goal.

It’s not too late to sign up!

At anytime during the challenge you can sign up by going to the Living Your Moksha’s site. You can type “Nelson BC” as your home studio. It’s $10 to join and 100% of the money raised goes to Free the Children. Free the Children is a Canadian charity started by children to help other children. Moksha Yoga has pledged to raise $100,00 to build 7 schools in 7 different countries. Curiously, there are also 7 weeks in the challenge… and 7 pillars supporting Moskha Yoga. By signing up you get all the previous newsletters that you may have missed before signing up. Moskha Yoga will not use your email address for anything other than the 7 week challenge newsletters. Newsletters are jam packed full of goodies that will help you kick asana on and off your matt.

The 7 pillars of Moksha are:

Be Healthy
Be Accessible
Live Green
Sangha Support
Reach Out
Live to Learn
Be Peace

See you on the mat,

Amy MacKay
